Rebecca Johnston, Ph.D., is Associate Director of the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Leadership (CTLL) and Professor of Music at the University of North Georgia. She administers faculty development programming across five campuses, oversees teaching awards, and conducts program assessments.

Her research focuses on pedagogical innovation, music psychology, and quantitative studies in education. She contributes to curriculum design, assessment frameworks, and faculty development strategies.
Dr. Johnston’s scholarly output includes publications in Psychology of Music, book chapters, textbook assessments, and grant collaborations. She regularly presents workshops at state and national conferences.
As part of CTLL under Academic Affairs, she plays a key role in advancing teaching excellence and leadership at UNG.
