Dr Rebecca Gordon is an Associate Professor of Cognitive Psychology at University College London (UCL), affiliated with the Department of Psychology and Human Development within the Faculty of Education and Society. She leads the Motor Executive Cognitive Interaction (MECI) Research Group and serves as Head of Engagement and Impact for her department. Her research focuses on neurocognitive mechanisms of executive function and working memory, particularly in educational contexts.
Education:

- MSc in Psychology, University of East London (2011)
Research Interests: Dr Gordon’s work explores precise measurement of executive functions (e.g., working memory) and their impact on learning. She investigates how motor cognition interacts with executive functions in children, aiming to inform interventions for neurodevelopmental differences. Her MECI Lab develops novel tasks to study these relationships, with current projects focusing on early childhood and executive-motor control.
