Rebecca Frisella is an Clinical Assistant Professor and Early Childhood Language/Literacy Center (ECLC) Coordinator in the Department of Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences at Saint Louis University’s Doisy College of Health Sciences. She holds an M.S. and B.S. in Communication Disorders from Fontbonne University. Her work focuses on early intervention for preschool-aged children with communication delays, including Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down Syndrome, and Fragile X Syndrome. She supervises graduate students in clinical and classroom settings, coordinates interdisciplinary collaborations with Physical Therapy and Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), and manages community outreach programs.
Professional experience includes over 20 years in clinical roles, including Clinical Supervisor at SLU (2011–2015), Speech-Language Pathologist at Howard Park Early Childhood Center (2010–2012), and Chief Speech & Language Pathologist at the Center for Hearing & Speech (2003–2010). She has developed curricula, grant-funded programs (e.g., sensory room initiative), and presented at conferences such as the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
