Rebecca Edwards is a Professor of History at Vassar College since 1995, holding the Eloise Ellery Chair. Her research focuses on post-Civil War U.S. history, electoral politics, women's history, and the American West. She teaches courses such as Violent Economies: Rewriting the American West and Sex & Reproduction in 19th-Century United States. Edwards is on leave during the 2024–2025 academic year and is affiliated with the Departments of Environmental Studies and the Women, Feminist, and Queer Studies Program.
