Rebecca Donaway, Ph.D., is a Lecturer in the Department of Communication Studies at Gonzaga University. Her research focuses on political communication, analyzing how political information is structured, perceived, and engaged with by users.

- M.S. from Middle Tennessee State University
- B.A. from Florida Gulf Coast University
Her recent projects examine the impact of emoji in news, affective responses to political content, and partisan messaging during the 2020 election. She has published in journals such as Mass Communication & Society, Environmental Communication, and Public Opinion Quarterly.
