Brianna N. Mack is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Politics & Government at Ohio Wesleyan University, where she teaches courses on Media and Politics, Power and American Politics, and Voting and Elections in the US. Her office is located in Elliott Hall 303 at 61 S. Sandusky Street, Delaware, OH 43015.
- Education: Ph.D. in Political Science (The Ohio State University), M.A. in Political Science with a minor in Political Psychology (The Ohio State University), B.A. in Political Science with a minor in African American Studies (Emory University)
Dr. Mack specializes in American Political Behavior, Political Psychology, and Race and Ethnicity research, with a focus on how racial/ethnic identity shapes political attitudes. Her dissertation explored how racial group identity and political knowledge influence African Americans' responses to political messages.
Current projects examine: (1) the relationship between community discussions on police violence and African Americans' attitudes toward police officers; (2) how a candidate's perceived marital status impacts their perceived viability as an elected official.
