Rebecca Dodd is a Researcher at the University of Manchester, affiliated with the Division of Cell Matrix Biology & Regenerative Medicine. She holds a PhD from the University of Manchester (2021), supervised by Professors Day and Milner. Her research focuses on hyaluronan biochemistry, extracellular matrix biology, and immunology, with contributions to understanding protein interactions, T cell behavior in infections, and biomarker development for musculoskeletal diseases.
Key research interests include chemical modifications of hyaluronan oligosaccharides, pentraxin interactions in matrix organization, and the role of extracellular matrix in allergic airway inflammation. Her work bridges biochemical, structural, and immunological approaches to address biological mechanisms.
Collaborators include experts in immunology (e.g., Allen, Hepworth), structural biology (Day, Enghild), and bioinformatics (Rattray). Current projects involve imaging mass cytometry for matrix phenotyping and T cell migration dynamics in parasitic infections.
