Dr. Rebecca Dingus is an O’Bleness Associate Professor of Marketing at Ohio University’s College of Business. She coordinates Undergraduate Assurance of Learning and serves as a Provost Faculty Fellow for Onboarding initiatives. Her academic journey includes roles at Central Michigan University (CMU) where she held tenured positions from Assistant to Associate Professor, and earlier roles as a Teaching Fellow at Kent State University and Adjunct Faculty at Ohio University Southern.
Dr. Dingus holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a Marketing emphasis from Kent State (2014), an MBA from Ohio University (2009), and a BA in Mathematics with Business/Spanish minors (2007). Her research focuses on sales communication effectiveness, adaptive sales management, and innovative marketing education methods. She pioneered curricula integrating AI, data visualization, and role-playing techniques into sales training. Her teaching innovations have earned national awards including the 2024 Smartfox Best Teaching Moment Award.
Her professional service includes editing the Journal of Selling, board roles with Marketing Management Association, and leadership in the National Conference in Sales Management. She mentors student organizations and advises the Global Consulting Program, coaching teams to top-10 finishes in national sales competitions. Beyond academia, she contributes to workforce development through faculty onboarding programs and community engagement initiatives.
Her 40+ publications emphasize sales education, ethical training, and classroom innovation. Notable works include AI-driven career coaching frameworks, music-based marketing instruction, and video-based online learning strategies. She’s been honored with awards for teaching excellence, academic service, and curricular innovation across multiple institutions.
