Rebecca Church

Rebecca Church is an Adjunct Faculty member at California Western School of Law. She holds a JD from California Western School of Law and a BA in History from Ohio State University. Her professional roles include serving as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Civil Division of the Southern District of California, Ethics Advisor, Professional Responsibility Officer, and FOIA Attorney. She practiced at Duane Morris LLP and served as a Judicial Law Clerk for U.S. District Judge William Q. Hayes and Magistrate Judge Ruben B. Brooks. Currently, she acts as a Temporary Judge (Pro Tem) in San Diego's Superior Court, handling small claims cases.

Professor Church is deeply involved in legal advocacy and governance. She served as the 2021 President of the Federal Bar Association’s San Diego Chapter and represents lawyers as a Lawyer Representative to the U.S. District Court. She is an active member of the Lawyers Club of San Diego and the San Diego County Bar Association.
