Rebecca "Becky" Challenger is the Assistant Director and Academic Coordinator at the Ohio Program of Intensive English (OPIE), part of the College of Arts and Sciences at Ohio University. She serves as a Teaching Professor, contributing to academic leadership and instruction in ESL education.

- B.S. in Special Education from Millersville University
- Ph.D. in Higher Education (in progress) at Ohio University
Her research and professional interests lie at the intersection of ESL and special education, with strong emphasis on culturally sensitive pedagogy, inter-cultural communication, teacher training, and ESL materials development. With experience teaching adult English language learners, including migrant workers, and international teaching in China, her work is deeply informed by practical and global perspectives.
