Rebecca Broadbent is a Senior Teaching Fellow at Aston University's College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, affiliated with the School of Engineering and Applied Science. She holds a PhD in Engineering Education and is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). Her roles include Programme Director for the Engineering and Applied Science Foundation Programme and teaching Mechanical Science to Foundation students. Her research focuses on engineering education innovation, student support systems, and integrating Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into curricula.

Research interests span engineering pedagogy, interdisciplinary project-based learning, and fostering student transition into higher education. She actively contributes to academic publishing through manuscript review workshops and SEFI conference engagements.
Leadership roles include overseeing foundation programme development and participating in national education networks like the Foundation Year Network. Her outreach activities include STEMAZING Kids engagement programs.
