Rebecca Bowman

Dr. Rebecca Bowman is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Early Childhood through Secondary Education at the University of West Georgia's College of Education. With 18 years of teaching experience and a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University, her work focuses on student success strategies, academic integrity, and educational equity.

Her research examines:

• Academic integrity in the context of generative AI
• Multiliteracies and graphic novel pedagogy
• Success strategies for underrepresented university students
• Supported education programs for adults with mental illness
• Diversity and inclusion in higher education

As co-investigator on the Partnership on University Plagiarism Prevention (PUPP), she develops international strategies to prevent plagiarism. She leads research projects on resilience among underrepresented students and literacy interventions in mental health contexts.

She currently advises graduate students researching generative AI adoption among teachers and community-based experiential learning impacts.
