معرفی
Rebecca Bartlett is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Northern Arizona University. Her research focuses on dysphagia, Parkinson’s disease, treatment adherence strategies, and clinical swallow evaluation. She leads the project 'Identification of Biomechanically Valid Cell Therapeutics for Vocal Fold Scar' as Principal Investigator (PI).
Her work integrates clinical practice with innovative methodologies such as high-fidelity simulations and systematic reviews. Recent studies explore psychosocial experiences of patients with dysphagia and the efficacy of adherence strategies in speech-language pathology.
Key contributions include advancing understanding of oxygen therapy effects on swallowing function and improving educational tools for clinicians through simulation-based training. Her research spans interdisciplinary topics including vocal fold physiology, patient perception of treatment, and neurorehabilitation.
- Research Grants: PI of NIH-funded project targeting vocal fold scar therapies
- Datasets: Contributed to ASHA journals’ dataset on treatment adherence strategies
- Collaborations: International networks in speech-language pathology and biomedical engineering
