Dr. Rebecca Adlington is a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology at the University of Hertfordshire, affiliated with the Department of Psychology, Sport and Geography. She co-leads the Clinical Psychology Research Group and is part of the Centre for Research in Psychology and Sports. Her primary role includes teaching on the DClinPsy program and supervising research projects.
Her research interests span clinical psychology training, professional issues in clinical practice, perinatal mental health, and the mental health of children and young people. Current projects include exploring parent experiences during DClinPsy training, dilemmas in self-disclosure among trainees, and the impact of race on problem-based learning experiences. She also investigates qualitative methodologies like the Tree of Life in international community contexts.
