Raúl Echevarria serves as Adjunct Professor in the School of Architecture at the University of Detroit Mercy. With over 20 years of community development experience, he currently directs Land Use and Economic Development at Urban Neighborhood Initiatives, a non-profit serving Detroit's Latino/Hispanic communities. His research examines how built environments intersect with community needs.
Research Interests:
- Community-driven development frameworks
- Organizational capacity building
- Sustainable land use planning
Concurrently pursuing a Master of Divinity degree at Ecumenical Theological Seminary, integrating liberation theology with community development praxis.
