Pearson Johnson is a Professor of Practical Theology at Bob Jones University (BJU) Seminary and serves as the Director of Academics and Mentoring for BJU Seminary. Since 2015, he has held leadership roles in student care and discipleship at BJU, following 18 years of pastoral service at Inter-City Baptist Church in Detroit, MI, and teaching at Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary and Northland International University.

At BJU, he oversees confidential biblical counseling services and academic mentoring programs, integrating faith and academic development. He is married to Amy Johnson (BJU alumna) and has two children, Grace and Pearson IV, both BJU students.
