Razak Seidu

Razak Seidu is a Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in the Department of Ocean Operations and Civil Engineering. He holds a PhD in Water and Environmental Engineering from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). His research focuses on water and wastewater treatment, climate change impacts on water infrastructure, health risk modelling in water systems, and smart water technologies. He has led projects funded by the Research Council of Norway, NORAD, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the United Nations, and the European Union.

Key roles include serving as the research leader of NTNU’s Water and Environmental Engineering Group and as a technical advisor to the WHO committee on wastewater and microbiology. He has extensive consultancy experience with organizations like UN-Habitat and has published widely in environmental science and engineering. His work spans global regions including Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia.
