Ravi Pandey is a PhD Student and Graduate Research Fellow at The Cyprus Institute's Energy, Environment and Water Research Center (EEWRC). His research focuses on advancing artificial intelligence, geoinformatics, and urban resilience, particularly in sustainable urban development. He is part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Programme, specifically the ESR 7 project, exploring human-building resilience in the face of climate change under the supervision of Professor Salvatore Carlucci.
Ravi holds a Copernicus Master’s in Digital Earth, an Erasmus Mundus-funded program, focusing on technology-environment interactions and developing a web-based application for hiking activity planning. Prior to that, he earned a master’s degree from ITC, University of Twente, Netherlands, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (ISRO), India, which deepened his expertise in geoinformatics. His academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal.
His research interests include geospatial technologies, sustainable urban development, spatial data quality, satellite image processing, and environmental planning. He applies these to address urban challenges through innovative solutions.
Ravi has not been mentioned to have received any scientific awards to date.
Ravi’s current research is supported by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions under the ESR 7 project. Prior to his PhD, he worked as a Geospatial Scientist at ISRO, contributing to geospatial science applications.
He is part of the Energy, Environment and Water Research Center (EEWRC) at CyI, collaborating within a global research environment.
