Aman Kumar Meena is a PhD Student and Graduate Research Fellow at The Cyprus Institute (CyI), affiliated with the Energy, Environment & Water Research Center (EEWRC). He holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (2019) from Anand International College of Engineering and a Master's in Environmental Engineering (2022) from the Indian Institute of Technology, where his thesis focused on modeling the Jojari River in semi-arid western Rajasthan using geospatial techniques and hydrodynamic modeling. Prior to his PhD, he worked as a Product Manager at ICICI Bank's corporate office in Mumbai (2022–2024). His current research interests include hydrological and environmental process monitoring, uni/bi-dimensional hydrological modeling, and the application of remote sensing and GIS in hydrology and hydrogeology.
Education:
- B.E. Civil Engineering, Anand International College of Engineering, 2019
- M.E. Environmental Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, 2022
Research Interests: Aman focuses on advancing understanding of water systems through computational and geospatial methods. His work integrates field data with advanced modeling techniques to address challenges in semi-arid regions, leveraging innovations in remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS) to enhance environmental management and policy.
Professional Experience: Post-Master’s, he contributed to corporate strategy at ICICI Bank before transitioning to full-time research at CyI. His interdisciplinary background bridges engineering, environmental science, and technology.
