Sujith Ravi

Sujith Ravi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Earth and Environmental Science at Temple University, serving as Director of the Environmental Science Program. His research focuses on ecohydrology, climate change impacts, and sustainable land use practices. He holds a PhD from the University of Virginia and completed postdoctoral studies at Stanford University.

Dr. Ravi’s work spans multiple disciplines including soil science, agrivoltaics, and environmental policy. His research emphasizes understanding how land use changes and disturbances affect terrestrial ecosystems, particularly in water-scarce environments. Key areas include microplastic emissions from agricultural soils, salinity impacts on soil erodibility, and synergistic solar energy-agriculture systems.

He has received notable awards such as the NSF CAREER Award and the AGU Editors Citation for Excellence. His research is supported by grants focusing on sustainable energy solutions and ecosystem resilience. He leads the Ravi Lab, collaborating on projects like multi-use solar infrastructure and post-fire sediment dynamics.
