Rauno Joks

Rauno Joks, MD is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University's College of Medicine. He serves as Chief and Program Director of the Allergy & Immunology Division, with dual expertise in allergy/immunology and rheumatology. His clinical practice operates at University Hospital at Downstate and Kings County Hospital Center.

Education:

• B.S. in Biology from SUNY Binghamton
• M.D. from SUNY Stony Brook
• Residency at Roosevelt Hospital Center
• Fellowship at SUNY Downstate

Dr. Joks studies regulation of IgE production and mechanisms of allergic inflammation, focusing on connections between allergic diseases/asthma and chronic inflammatory conditions. His work appears in Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology - In Practice, JAMA-Pediatrics, and Annals of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
