Maria-Anna Vastardi

Dr. Maria-Anna Vastardi is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine at State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences University, serving as Director of Pediatric Allergy & Immunology and Associate Program Director of the Allergy & Immunology Fellowship Program. Her clinical expertise encompasses the management of allergic and immunologic disorders in children and adults at University Hospital at Downstate.

Dr. Vastardi's primary research interest is Food Allergy, with additional focus on allergic rhinitis, asthma, drug allergies, urticaria, angioedema, and primary immunodeficiencies. She is committed to advancing patient care through clinical research and evidence-based practice.

As Associate Program Director, she mentors fellows in the Allergy & Immunology Fellowship Program and contributes to the training of future specialists. She is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.

Dr. Vastardi is an integral part of the Allergy & Immunology Division within the Department of Medicine, collaborating on clinical services and research initiatives to address complex allergic and immunologic conditions.
