Ratka Čolić serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urbanism at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade. She completed her undergraduate, master's, and doctoral studies at the same institution, and in 2003 earned a postgraduate certificate in Inner City Development and Housing in Transitional Economies from Erasmus University, Rotterdam.

Her research centers on sustainable and integrated territorial development, urban governance frameworks, citizen participation mechanisms, and international influences on planning policies. Dr. Čolić has published scholarly work on integrating sustainability principles into planning education and institutional capacity development. She actively supervises master's theses on urban governance, SDG localization, climate resilience, cultural heritage, and network-based urban development.
As a researcher within the Innovation Laboratory of Sustainable Development, she contributes to cutting-edge urban planning initiatives. Her students' projects have received recognition at Salon of Urbanism (2014, 2015, 2018) and GIS DAY (2016), with work accepted at Forum Creative Europe 2019.

Professionally, Dr. Čolić serves as a national urban planning expert managing capacity development projects with UN-Habitat, GIZ, UNOPS, and EU PRO. She led the development of award-winning strategic documents including Serbia's Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development Strategy 2030, Land Use Code, and Guide on Participation in Urban Development Planning.
