Architect Alexandru Vuja is an Associate Professor at the University of Belgrade's Faculty of Architecture, specializing in architectural and urban design. Employed since 1993, he teaches courses in architectural design and contemporary architecture. Born in Belgrade (1963), he graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in 1991.
His research focuses on architectural design theory and urban planning, emphasizing sustainability and cultural heritage. He practices independently since 2005 with the bureau Dva:studio, designing over 30 realized projects recognized nationally and internationally. Notable awards include the 2014 Grand Prize of the Architecture Salon and multiple Trimo Architectural Awards.
Publications include Typographies (2012) and Instant City (2013). Exhibitions include the Venice Biennale (2006, 2013, 2015) and Lisbon's EXPO (1998). He serves on professional bodies like the Serbian Ministry of Construction's exam commission and previously advised Serbia's Venice Biennale participation (2017).
