Raphaël Labruère is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at the Institut de Chimie Moléculaire et des Matériaux d'Orsay (ICMMO, UMR 8182), Université Paris-Saclay. His research focuses on organic synthesis, drug development, and self-immolative spacers. He holds a PhD in organic and medicinal chemistry from Université Paris Descartes (2006) and conducted postdoctoral research in the U.S. on polymeric nanoparticles for drug delivery. His expertise includes heterocyclic synthesis, pharmacological evaluation of small molecules, and kinetic studies of self-immolative systems.
Research interests include the design of anticancer agents, environmental impact of pharmaceuticals, and antiparasitic drug development. Recent work emphasizes prodrug strategies for targeted delivery and environmental inactivation of pollutants like methotrexate. Collaborations span institutions such as Institut Curie and Ecole normale supérieure-Paris.
Publications highlight advancements in phenanthridine synthesis, boron-based prodrugs, and polyamine-based antikinetoplastid agents. His work bridges organic chemistry with translational applications in medicine and environmental science.
