Raouf Fetni

Raouf Fetni is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Department of Pathology and Cell Biology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Montreal. He is affiliated with the Azrieli Research Center at CHU Sainte-Justine and the CIUSSS de l'Est-de-l'Île-de-Montréal – Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont (HMR). His research focuses on viral diseases, immune disorders, and cancer, particularly chromosomal rearrangements in leukemias.

• Education & Fellowships: Post-doctoral Excellence Fellowship (1995-1997) and Research Excellence Scholarship (1992-1995).

Research achievements include identifying rare chromosomal rearrangements in pediatric acute leukemias and characterizing fusion genes in chronic myeloid leukemia progression. His work integrates genetic and molecular approaches to understand cancer biology.

• Awards: Cancer Research Society Post-doctoral Fellowship, Medical Research Council of Canada Scholarship.

He has supervised three master's students, including studies on chromosomal anomalies in leukemias and neuroblastoma genetics. His lab collaborates on projects involving cell migration mechanisms and oncogenic pathways.
