Rani George

Rani George is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and an Attending Physician at Dana-Farber/Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center. Her research integrates basic developmental biology, cancer biology, and clinical trial design to target molecular aberrations in pediatric solid tumors.

Her laboratory focuses on neuroblastoma, a pediatric solid tumor, with three core research axes: (1) Molecular target identification in neuroblastoma cells, particularly ALK mutations and MYCN oncogene; (2) Sympathetic nervous system development with emphasis on PHOX2B transcription factor; and (3) Mechanisms of therapy resistance in relapsed neuroblastoma. The program combines preclinical drug development with clinical trials for treatment-resistant cases.

Recent publications demonstrate her group's leadership in neuroblastoma research, spanning RNA methylation (METTL3/METTL14), microRNA therapy (miR-124), AI-driven tumor classification, and ALK inhibitor development.
