Randi Kaufman is an Assistant Professor (Non-Tenure Track, Full-Time) in the Department of Community Health Science & Policy at LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans. Her work focuses on reducing health disparities through evidence-based interventions in cancer prevention, early detection, and quality improvement. She holds a DrPH from the University of North Carolina (2013), MS in Urban Studies from the University of New Orleans (2000), and BA in Anthropology from the University of Virginia (1986).
Her research interests include health equity, implementation science, and structural biases in healthcare systems. She specializes in primary care transformation, chronic disease prevention, and health policy leadership. Her recent work emphasizes scalable programs to improve colorectal and cervical cancer screening access for Medicaid patients.
Randi serves on multiple committees including the LSUHSC School of Public Health's Evaluation, Diversity, and Grievance Committees. She is a certified Health Improvement Coach (HealthTeamWorks) and Safe Zone Trainer (LSUHSC). Her professional service spans roles with the Louisiana Colorectal Cancer Round Table, National Association of Chronic Disease Directors, and the American Cancer Society.
