Christine Brennan

Christine Brennan is an Associate Professor at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center New Orleans (LSUHSC), affiliated with the School of Public Health and the Department of Community Health Science & Policy. Her work integrates clinical practice, research, and policy to address public health challenges, particularly focusing on HIV/AIDS, STIs, and infectious diseases. She holds a PhD in Nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi (2007), and advanced degrees from the University of Pennsylvania (MSN: 1989, BSN: 1987).

Research Interests:
Ms. Brennan specializes in community-based research, public health policy development, and innovative interventions for behavior-driven infectious diseases. She emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration and has pioneered approaches in telemedicine, clinical education, and healthcare quality measures. Her recent work explores the intersection of big data and public health, including studies on Sanfilippo Syndrome communication interventions and LGBTQ+ healthcare accessibility.

She teaches Health Policy and Law at LSUHSC and has led major initiatives like the Nurse Family Partnership, improving maternal and child health outcomes.
