Randall Flick

Dr. Randall Flick is a Professor of Anesthesiology and Pediatrics at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, serving as a Consultant in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine. He is the Medical Director of the Mayo Clinic Children's Center and leads pediatric care initiatives across the Mayo Clinic Enterprise.

Dr. Flick's research focuses on anesthetic-related neurotoxicity in children, longitudinal learning outcomes, and quality improvement in pediatric hospital care. He pioneered studies linking early anesthetic exposure to neurodevelopmental risks and leads a $3.5M NIH-funded project on anesthetic-neurodevelopment relationships.

His scientific contributions include foundational work on anesthesia safety and leadership in the Women's Empowerment and Leadership Initiative. Key publications address Autism Spectrum Disorder, Behavioral Outcomes, and Medical Education Reform.
