Randa Abdel-Fattah is a Research Fellow in the Department of Sociology at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia. She holds dual qualifications as a lawyer (NSW Supreme Court) and a sociologist, combining academic research with activism and literary contributions. Her work focuses on Islamophobia, racial justice, Palestinian advocacy, and youth identity in the context of global security frameworks. She leads the ARC Future Fellowship project tracing Arab/Muslim Australian social movements since the 1970s, creating a digital archive and exhibition of this understudied history.
