Ranadeb Chaudhuri is a Professor of Finance at Oakland University’s School of Business Administration, located in Rochester, MI. He joined Oakland University as an Assistant Professor in 2009 and has held visiting roles at Indiana University and Michigan State University. His academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Finance from Michigan State University.
His research focuses on asset pricing, investments, and empirical corporate finance, with notable contributions to understanding market dynamics, institutional asset management, and corporate governance. His work has been published in prestigious journals like the Review of Financial Studies and Management Science, and he has presented at major conferences such as the American Finance Association (AFA) meetings.
Professor Chaudhuri’s teaching expertise includes Managerial Finance, Financial Modeling, and Derivatives and Investment Theory. He has received multiple accolades, including the SBA Research Award (2015–2016) and the “Talk of the Town Paper” award at the 2013 Finance Down Under Conference. His research highlights include analyzing cross-subsidization in asset management firms and the impact of informational risk on corporate capital structure.
