Ran Yang is a Teaching Professor in Physics at William & Mary, specializing in the Engineering Physics and Applied Design (EPAD) track. She is renowned for inventing an AI-enriched medical device designed to save lives through improved endotracheal intubation techniques. Her work with William & Mary’s Entrepreneurship Hub has been instrumental in guiding the commercialization of this technology. Additionally, she co-founded and directs the Mentoring for Careers in Physics (MCP) program, which provides mentorship for female students pursuing STEM careers.
