Iria Giuffrida

Iria Giuffrida is a Research Professor at the William & Mary Law School, where she leads AI research at the Centre for Legal & Court Technology (CLCT). She holds an LLB (2001) and PhD (2009) from Queen Mary University of London, and an LLM from William & Mary, funded by the Drapers’ Scholarship. Her work focuses on legal challenges arising from AI, IoT, and ethical regulation, particularly in balancing innovation with privacy and societal risks. She previously practiced as a Commercial Litigator in London before transitioning to academia.
