Ran Abramitzky serves as the Stanford Federal Credit Union Professor of Economics and Senior Associate Dean of the Social Sciences at Stanford University's School of Humanities and Sciences. He maintains dual research appointments as a National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) Research Associate and Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) Senior Fellow.
His research program spans economic history and applied microeconomics, with concentrated expertise in immigration economics and income inequality.
