Professor Ramsey Cutress is a Professor of Breast Surgery and Consultant Surgeon at the University of Southampton and University Hospital Southampton. He leads Clinical Academic Training as Head of School at the Wessex Deanery and oversees Southampton NIHR IAT initiatives. His research focuses on breast cancer outcomes, including genetic predisposition, immunological factors, and lifestyle influences. He actively contributes to national studies like the EndoNET trial and the POSH study. Prof. Cutress advises NICE guidelines and co-directs the ABS Advanced Skills in Breast Disease Management Course. He supervises BMedSci, MMedSci, and PhD students, including Wilson Pui Fui Cheah. His work spans clinical trials, genomic testing applications, and oncological surgery, with grants from Cancer Research UK and Breast Cancer Now.
