Professor Ramazan ULU is a distinguished academic and clinician in the Department of Internal Medical Sciences at Adiyaman University Faculty of Medicine. With a medical degree from Erciyes University and specialized training from Inonu and Firat Universities, he has established himself as a leading researcher in nephrology and internal medicine. His academic journey includes serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nephrology at Firat University before advancing to his current professorship at Adiyaman University.
Professor ULU's research primarily focuses on chronic kidney disease, dialysis modalities, diabetes complications in renal patients, and oxidative stress mechanisms in kidney injury. His work bridges clinical practice and experimental research, investigating both patient outcomes and molecular pathways of renal damage. He has made significant contributions to understanding biomarkers like NGAL (neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin) in hemodialysis patients and exploring natural compounds for renal protection against nephrotoxic agents.
