Beatrice Goilav

Dr. Beatrice Goilav is Professor of Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, serving as Medical Director of Pediatric Nephrology, Senior Director for Pediatric Fellowship Training at CHAM, Director of the Pediatric Nephrology Training Program, and Chair of the Graduate Medical Education Committee at Montefiore Einstein.

She received her medical degree from University of Basel Medical School, completed pediatric residency at Jacobi Medical Center and University Hospital of Basel, and pediatric nephrology fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital. Her clinical expertise spans polycystic kidney disease, lupus nephritis, and biomarkers of acute kidney injury.

Dr. Goilav's research focuses on microRNAs in lupus nephritis pathogenesis, their modulation of neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL), and urinary biomarker applications for disease monitoring. This translational work bridges molecular mechanisms with clinical diagnostics in pediatric kidney disorders.

Board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology, she practices at multiple Montefiore Health System locations across the Bronx and Westchester County while maintaining fluency in German, Italian, Spanish, French, Hebrew, and Romanian for diverse patient care.
