Ramazan ARI is an Associate Professor at Iğdır University's Faculty of Science and Letters, Department of Turkish Language and Literature. He holds academic positions including Deputy Director of the Center, Head of Department, Rector's Advisor, and Research Application Center Director. His education includes a PhD (2012-2017) from Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University on Fuzûlî's gazels, an MA (2007-2012) on Şeyyad Hamza's Yusuf u Zelîhâ, and a BA (2003-2007) in Turkish Language and Literature.
His research focuses on classical Turkish poetry's emotional dynamics, aesthetic principles, and symbolic systems. Key themes include analysis of rishte (thread) metaphors, veda (farewell) motifs, mihman (guest) cultural values, and gazap/sîtem (anger) duality. He explores lexical creativity in Ottoman poetry's 'aesthetic perception' and the narrative symbolism of objects like cloaks and butterflies.
Teaching includes courses on Ottoman Turkish texts, classical Turkish literature, and comparative folk/ classical poetry. He advises master's theses on rishte symbolism and poetic exaggeration. His 12+ publications span journals like Hikmet Akademik Edebiyat Dergisi and Türük, plus conference papers on rhetoric and aesthetic philosophy. He has authored/co-authored 9 books analyzing Ottoman poets like Fuzûlî and Nedim, and edited volumes on cultural studies.
