Ram Shukla

Ram Shukla is an Assistant Professor in Zoology and Physiology at the University of Wyoming. His NeuroPsych research group investigates molecular mechanisms of psychiatric disorders including depression and schizophrenia.

Research focus: Examines ribosomal heterogeneity in mood disorders, integrates single-cell transcriptomics with computational modeling, and explores stress response pathways. Recent work demonstrates novel connections between ribosome function and neuropsychiatric conditions.

Methodologies: Combines postmortem brain analysis, stress models in mice, and primary neuron cultures with advanced bioinformatics approaches to study neural circuitry dysfunction.
