Ralph Strehle is a Lecturer in Vocal Performance and Research and Engagement at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He holds a PhD in English from Royal Holloway, University of London (RHUL), an MA in Postmodernism, Literature and Contemporary Cultures, and a joint honours degree in English/German from Konstanz University, Germany. His research spans post-structuralist phenomenological ethics, linguistics (syntax/pragmatics/speech-act theory), and pedagogy in music conservatoires.

Research Interests: Examines teaching/performing contexts' impact on student motivation using Personal Construct Theory and Self-determination Theory. Previously focused on post-structuralist ethics and literary aesthetics, organizing the interdisciplinary Literary Aesthetics Seminar Series and contributing to the Routledge Companion to Critical Theory.
Labs/Teams: Organized Literary Aesthetics Seminar Series for literary scholars and philosophers.
