Rakesh Mohindra is an Associate Lecturer at Camberwell College of Arts (University of the Arts London) and teaches fine art and photography at the University of Westminster and National Portrait Gallery. His practice focuses on expanded photography, blending it with sculpture and other media to explore themes of transition, identity, and situatedness. He co-founded pic.london (an artist support platform) and Image Assembly (an experimental art collective responding to written texts).
Key collaborations include Walworth Living Room (a community collage project) and Moving with the Camera (a global seminar series on photography and body movement). He exhibited internationally, including at the National Portrait Gallery and Pingyao International Photography Festival. His work interrogates photography’s relationship to materiality, perception, and psychical space.
