Duncan Wooldridge

Duncan Wooldridge is a Senior Lecturer and MA Fine Art Photography Pathway Leader at Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London. He holds a doctoral research position in Art History at University College London, focusing on German Anti-foto artist Hans-Peter Feldmann.

His practice merges photography, curation, and art criticism, interrogating themes of possession, authorship, and interruption through mechanical reproduction. He modifies mass-produced postcards of minimalist artworks to challenge art historical narratives, exhibiting widely in UK institutions like the Hayward Gallery and Spike Island.

Wooldridge’s research extends into photography’s relationship with temporality, as explored in his published essay collection To Be Determined: Photography and the Future (SPBH/Mack). His curatorial work includes Anti-Photography at Focal Point Gallery (2011) and regular contributions to art journals like Art Monthly and Source.
