Rakesh Jory is an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Southampton, UK. He holds a PhD in Finance from Florida Atlantic University and has held academic positions at institutions including the University of Sussex, University of Westminster (UK), University of Michigan-Flint (USA), and the University of Mauritius. His research focuses on corporate finance, financial markets, international financial management, and corporate reorganizations. He currently supervises PhD candidate Alma Gibic in the iPhD AI for Sustainability program.
Teaching responsibilities include modules such as Personal Finance (Undergraduate), Alternative Investments (Undergraduate), and Corporate Finance (MBA). Jory's academic credentials include an MBA from the University of Sheffield, ACCA certification, and Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. He actively participates in research groups like the Centre for Empirical Research in Finance and Banking and has authored numerous articles in top-tier journals.
His recent research explores topics such as institutional ownership dynamics, CEO decision-making during crises, pension plan management, and ESG score impacts. Jory is accepting applications for PhD supervision in finance-related disciplines.
