Rakesh Ankit is a Lecturer in History and International Politics at Loughborough University (Leicester, UK). He specializes in Indian history, decolonization, and Cold War studies. His research focuses on transitional governance, the Interim Government of India (1946–1947), and the Kashmir conflict's international dimensions. Ankit holds degrees from Delhi University, the University of Oxford, and the University of Southampton. Before joining Loughborough in 2018, he taught at OP Jindal Global University (India). His work emphasizes institutional continuity during India’s transition from colonial rule to independence.
