Abhimanyu Arni is a Research Fellow in the Department of History at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on transnational anticolonial movements, particularly the India League (1928–1947) and its intersections with British Labour politics, trades unions, and colonial surveillance. He holds a DPhil from Oxford, where his work examines anticolonial strategies, diasporic political spaces in Birmingham, and the role of intelligence networks like Indian Political Intelligence.

- Imperial governance and performative violence
- Anticolonial intellectual histories beyond canonical figures
His research has been supported by St. Edmund Hall, the Colin Matthew Fund, and the Oxford-India Initiative. He teaches courses on South Asian modernity, global imperialism, and British political systems.
