Rajesh Gupta

Rajesh Gupta is the Dean of the School of Computing, Information and Data Sciences and Founding Director of the Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute at the University of California, San Diego (UC San Diego). He holds the Qualcomm Endowed Chair in Embedded Microsystems at UC San Diego, the INRIA International Chair in Rennes, Bretagne Atlantique, and the Distinguished Visiting Professor title at IIT Kanpur.

His research focuses on embedded and cyber-physical systems, sensor data organization, and their applications in optimization and analytics. Current work includes co-leading the DARPA/SRC Center on Evolvable Computing to develop next-generation distributed accelerated computing systems.
