Rajendra Singh is the D. Houser Banks Professor specializing in semiconductor technology and photovoltaics at Clemson University. His pioneering work in rapid thermal processing (RTP) enabled billion-dollar semiconductor manufacturing applications. Current research focuses on wide-bandgap semiconductors for power electronics and renewable energy systems.
With over 350 publications and 20 patents, his innovations include manufacturing processes for amorphous silicon solar cells and nanoelectronic devices. Recognized as a White House Champion of Change, he leads industry-academic partnerships advancing sustainable energy technologies. Recent work explores gallium nitride devices for electric vehicle power systems.
