Raimo Hakola is a Senior Lecturer in Biblical Studies at the Faculty of Theology, University of Helsinki, specializing in the Gospel of John, Pharisaic portrayals in the New Testament, and ancient Galilee. He employs a social psychological social identity approach in his research and co-directs the Horvat Kur archaeological excavations in Israel since 2010.
