University of Lausanneمعرفی
Raffaele Rodogno is an Associate Professor of Ethics in the Philosophy Section at the Université de Lausanne (UNIL), effective since February 2024. Previously, he held the same position at Aarhus University in Denmark. His academic journey includes studies at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID), London School of Economics (LSE), and the University of St Andrews. He has conducted research at Oxford, Harvard, Université de Montréal’s Centre for Research in Ethics, and the University of Bergen’s Faculty of Law. Rodogno teaches ethics and political philosophy to students at both UNIL and École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL).
His research focuses on four interconnected areas: the philosophy and science of well-being, ethical implications of AI/social robotics, emotions in socio-political contexts, and neurodiversity/feminism. From 2021–2024, he served as a member and vice-director of a Danish Medical Ethics Committee under the Ministry of Health. Between 2019–2023, he led the Autistic Role Models project, co-funded by the City of Aarhus and the Velux Foundation. This initiative combined philosophy and ethnography to address low happiness levels among autistic youth, producing 100 podcasts shared on Spotify. These resources are now used in social service and special school training.
His interdisciplinary work bridges theory and practice, emphasizing participatory methods to amplify marginalized voices in ethics and policy.
